I hate the trope of "I refuse to hit women!! [Gets decked]" cause it's boring but I do like the trope of someone in an RPG going "hey I don't wanna hit a kid that's kinda fucked up" and the kid just obliterates them

"i refuse to hit a woman!" = Sexist, overdone, does nothing to actually empower the woman or make the guy seem nice

"I refuse to hit a kid" = valid, even funnier when the kid whips absolutely ass in one go

The ONLY exception to this is Mob Psycho where it's a kid vs woman fight, in which the kid doesn't want to hit a woman because he has been told that only scumbags hit women. And then the lady pauses the fight to explain this is a different situation and he's not bad for defending himself.

Then he proceeds to whip ass in one go.

genuine question about the skull hole: why would the pak not just use the existing hole in the skull where it connects to the spine? are the wires too thick? because i'd think that, like, some wires are thick, like cable, or maybe multiple wires twisted together, but there are thinner ones that expand more thoroughly throughout the body to act as a second nervous system? if that makes sense? so i think there would be ones thin enough to fit in that preexisting hole.

Okay but realistically, it depends on how much space between the skull and spinal column there is. And I have no way of knowing for Irkens- but in a lot of species it’s a pretty tight squeeze. I’m sure Irkens did evolve to accommodate their PAKs, but the first few generations woulda been,, rough.

no yeah that’s entirely fair! to be clear i’m not trying to ‘um actually’ i was just genuinely curious about the theory bc although the picture is ambiguous, they very well could have a hole in their skull because the pak would realistically need to connect into the brain somehow, in order to back up memories, and also to interpret sensory input in order to react, and possibly even to read commands thought by the irken.

i like this kind of theorizing. it scratch brain good.

Remember how Doctor Who fans all hated Martha for some reason.  When the “worst” she did was has feelings for their white fav.  She never even acted on those feelings, never broke up any ship, and even at a point came out and explained why she needed to move on from the toxic cycle of getting hung up on someone who didn’t return her feelings.  Also she was a badass without getting a sue inserted backstory to match in with the Doctor’s history or putting other characters down or having to constantly show them up.
